Here’s a list of data related professional associations along with comments on their current status. I compiled this list while looking for a professional association to participate in. I'll update as I learn more.

• My commentary - looking at the blog I see a handful of articles per year. Doesn’t seem that active or modern - no pointers to a twitter presence. Last conference listed on site is in 2017.
• http://dmg.org/ - Data Mining Group - AN INDEPENDENT, VENDOR LED CONSORTIUM THAT DEVELOPS DATA MINING STANDARDS. Standards org. Not a professional association.
• https://www.amstat.org/ American Statistical Association is the world’s largest community of statisticians, the “Big Tent for Statistics.” Active in 2020.
• https://www.adasci.org/ The Association of Data Scientists is the premier global professional body of data science & machine learning professionals. Lists some events and a few articles from 2020. Not sure about this site.
